Commander of the Turkish Land Forces

GENERAL METIN TOKEL WAS BORN IN 1961 IN GÜMÜŞHANE.

HE GRADUATED FROM KULELI MILITARY HIGH SCHOOL IN 1979, AND

TURKISH MILITARY ACADEMY AS AN ARTILLERY OFFICER IN 1983.

AFTER HIS GRADUATION FROM ARTILLERY AND MISSILE SCHOOL IN 1984, HE SERVED AS;

FORWARD OBSERVER OFFICER AT THE 9TH INFANTRY DIVISION ARTILLERY REGIMENTAL COMMAND BASED IN KARS/SARIKAMIŞ FROM 1984 TO 1987,

MOTOR OFFICER AND COMPANY COMMANDER AT THE 66TH MECHANIZED INFANTRY DIVISION ARTILLERY REGIMENTAL COMMAND BASED IN İSTANBUL FROM 1987 TO 1989,

HEADQUARTERS PLATOON COMMANDER AND BATTERY COMMANDER AT 26TH ARMORED BRIGADE ARTILLERY REGIMENTAL COMMAND BASED IN İSTANBUL/HASDAL FROM 1989 TO 1993.
