GENERAL SELÇUK BAYRAKTAROĞLU GRADUATED FROM THE MILITARY ACADEMY IN 1981 AS A SIGNAL OFFICER WITH THE RANK OF SECOND LIEUTENANT; HE COMPLETED HIS BRANCH SCHOOL TRAINING IN 1982.

GENERAL BAYRAKTAROĞLU SERVED AS PLATOON AND COMPANY COMMANDER IN VARIOUS SIGNAL UNITS FROM 1982 TO 1991. HE GRADUATED FROM THE ARMY WAR COLLEGE IN 1993 AND THE ARMED FORCES COLLEGE IN 1997.

HE WAS PROMOTED TO THE RANK OF GENERAL WITH THE DECREE OF THE SUPREME MILITARY COUNCIL IN 2021.

GENERAL BAYRAKTAROĞLU WAS APPOINTED AS THE COMMANDER OF THE TURKISH LAND FORCES WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL DECREE APPROVED ON 03 AUGUST 2023.

Inspection and Evaluation

Land Forces Commander General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu inspected and evaluated the base areas in the area of responsibility of 48th Border Brigade Command in Claw-Tiger Operation Zone.

General Bayraktaroğlu subsequently moved to Claw-Lock Operation Zone and received information about cross-border operations at the Tactical Command Post of the 14th Commando Brigade Command located in the region.

General Bayraktaroğlu met with Mehmet’s serving on the border zone and cross border and gave instructions regarding border security, security measures and activities to be carried out in the coming period.
